Introduction: This type of mutagenesis is the process of creating specific changes in the structure of a gene and plays an important role in molecular biology and facilitates research in many fields.
This article will comprehensively review various techniques and strategies to achieve the highest efficiency of mutated DNA.Recombinant protein modification is used by inserting, substituting, or deleting a specific amino acid.
Among the applications of this technique are the study of the molecular structure and function of proteins that occur as a result of DNA manipulation, protein engineering. Introducing a precise mutation by this form of mutagenesis affects not only genes but also coding proteins.
Mutations in the coding sequence affect the basic properties of the protein, such as its three-dimensional structure, activities, and interactions with other molecules. On the other hand, it allows researchers to carefully engineer proteins to have desirable properties.
, changing the activity and stability of enzymes (biologically active enzymes), and genetic and gene technology studies pointed out
Methods: This research is a review study and in this research, databases such as NCBI, PUBMED, etc. were used to collect information.
Results: This method is a method that allows for precise modification of gene and protein function. PCR has simplified this method and greatly increased its success rate.
Conclusion: his method has become one of the most fundamental techniques in molecular biology and biochemistry that opens up new fields of science and accelerates technological progress.
