• The Role of Preconception Education in Preventing Reproductive Disorders

  • Introduction: Reproductive disorders are among the major challenges in women’s health during the reproductive age, with significant physical, psychological, and social consequences. Preconception education, as a preventive intervention, can play an effective role in reducing these disorders and improving maternal and neonatal health.
  • Methods: Studies published between 2022 and 2025 were reviewed in reputable scientific databases. Articles related to preconception education and its impact on women’s reproductive health were selected, and their data were analyzed to summarize the existing evidence.
  • Results: The results showed that educational programs, including awareness about healthy lifestyle, control of chronic diseases, preventive behaviors, and recognition of warning signs, can reduce the risk of infertility, improve the quality of oocytes and sperm, and increase pregnancy success. Moreover, preconception education enhances women’s awareness and creates a positive attitude toward pre-pregnancy health care.
  • Conclusion: Integrating preconception education into healthcare systems, as an effective and cost-efficient strategy, can prevent reproductive disorders and promote women’s health.
