  • Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women. Noticeable symptoms of breast cancer include Lump in a breast, changing in breast shape and coming fluid from the nipple. In this review, some significant risk factors of breast cancer were investigated.
  • Methods: By entering keywords and applying Title filter on pub med 33 articles were found  that they were collected since 2014 . 16 of them were used to study . On the other hand 11 articles extracted from google scholar . Also relevant to this topic 14 articles were selected from science direct database since last 5 years . Finally 41 articles were used to review.
  • Results: Breast cancer known as a multi factorial disease but environmental's factors have significant effects like obesity and alcohol. .Although this factors have a major role but we can't ignore the effects of aging and being females on breast cancer .It means that old fat women with low quality diet are more  susceptible for breast cancer . Obesity is a risk factor for chronic diseases especially in menopausing women. Fat cells undergoes dysregulating secretion of many proinflammatory chemicals,growth factors and hormones. This disorder may be cause of promoting tumor cells in parts of body like breasts. Another risk factor is aging . Old people have more chance to get cancer because of DNA high damage and lower telomerase during cell division .in addition to these factors,alcoholic drinks affects on cell metabolism and can cause breast cancer or some other types of cancers
  • Conclusion: Both genetic and environmental factors are involved in incidence of breast cancer . Obesity , aging , being female , alcohol are significant risk factors that increase the chance of getting breast cancer.
