  • Introduction: Stem cell are the primary cells in our body that forming every organs and tissues. These cells have two key properties: the potential to differentiate into cell types of varying lineages and self-renewal. These cells play an important role in the treatment of disease, including cancer, regeneration and repair of various tissues following injury. The purpose of this review study is to investigate the treatment of cancer by using mesenchymal stem cell based on gene therapy and personal profile of patients that called precision medicine.
  • Methods: In this study the essential information gathered through databases related to key words in various articles from2010-2019 by searching websites such as Science direct, Google scholar, pub med and Scopus.
  • Results: Mesenchymal stem cell(Msc) is an adult stem cell that first extracted from Bone marrow. these cells have the potential to treat cancers in gene therapy through genetic engineering. MScs can be used as a specific vector for carrying anti-tumor compound genes such as IFN B.IFN B has two antitumor activities: JAK STAT and P53 protein. MScs move to a Tumor based on the type of cytokines and chemokines specifically produced by tumor, and receptors expressed on the MScs, expressing their engineered target gene through anti-cancer responses they stimulate the immune system and slow down their growth.
  • Conclusion: the use of stem cells in the treatment of cancer specifically based on the genetic profile and the molecular characteristics of the tumor is a method that is highly regarded today as the combination of MScs and gene therapy has significant results in the treatment of cancer compared to other therapies
