  • Introduction: The purpose of this study was to determine the trends of research in the subject area of personalized medicine, the resulted achievements, and the main actors in this field, using the content analysis of the articles published during 2010-2018.
  • Methods: To collect data, all articles published in the field of cardiovascular diseases and personalized medicine were extracted from the PubMed database and were subjected to content analysis
  • Results: A total of 159 articles related to the subject of the study were identified. Data analysis showed that the average annual number of articles was 28.727. The highest percentage of articles (23.88%) corresponded to the United States. There was no article related to Iran. Research in the field of personalized medicine and cardiovascular diseases is related to the treatment of patients and the genetic analysis of patients. Cardiovascular disease research is in the field of platelet obstruction inhibitors and biomarkers
  • Conclusion: A genome-based medical test - whether for cardiopulmonary muscle, blood vessels and blood cells - is a suitable method for the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease in a personalized medical method. Therefore, it is recommended that appropriate policies be developed to provide the appropriate framework for using diagnostic methods in Iran and to direct the research in this regard
