  • Introduction: Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by stains on the skins and nails. This disease affects 2 to 3 percent of world's population .Nor is there currently satisfactory treatment for the disease. Although there have recently been advances in the treatment of psoriasis due to the introduction of biological therapies. Stem cells are an important tool for cell_based therapy because of their ability to regenerate tissue and modulate the immune. A key role of stem cells in the healing of psoriasis wound _indused is mediated by paracrine factors including cytokines ,chemokines and growths factors .
  • Methods: This systematic review conducted thorugh the search in the databases including Pubmed and Google Scholar with keywords:psoriasis and stem cell from 2015 to 2019.as a result of this search 556 articles were obtained. Finally 28 articles that were most relevant to the study subject were selected.
  • Results: The gene expression in stem cells of patients with psoriasis was markedly different from normal stem cells .Stem cells are an important tool for cell_based therapy because of their ability to regenerate tissue and modulate the immune. These cells contribute to the treatment of psoriasis by suppressing the growth and infiltration of skin cells through expression of chemokines and modulation of cytokines as well as inhibition of signaling pathways.
  • Conclusion: These results suggest that stem cells in patients with psoriasis may be a factor in the recovery of psoriasis because of its effect on immune system modification.
