  • Introduction: Infertility refers to the inability to obtain a pregnancy if you have sex without the use of contraception for at least one year. The causes of infertility are divided into two categories: male and female. Female factors such as Uterine Disorders, Cervical Cancer, Menstrual Disorders PID(Pelvic Inflammatory Disease), PCO(Poly Cystic Ovary),POF(Premature Ovarian Failure), Systemic diseases. Since the prevalence of cervical cancer is increasing, so, the purpose of this study is to investigating the association between the risk of infertility and uterine and cervical cancer
  • Methods: This review article was performed within articles published at PubMed, Google scholar, SID from 2000 to2019. The keywords were uterus, cervix, cancer, infertility. By searching this database, 81 articles were found, 49 of them were not related with investigating and 19 of them by reading abstract were removed. All articles chosen from English and Persian articles
  • Results: Finally, 13 articles were included in the study, in one of the study that performed in women with endometriosis, one group with mild endometriosis and another group with moderate or severe endometriosis and the latter group with no information about their disease just women with severe pain were considered as symptomatic, the result showed: the incidence of infertility in the case group was 4 times that of control groups. Also another study expressed: the cervical cancer metastasizes to the pelvic wall, uterus, in 45% of cases that causing many sexual problems, including decreased libido, menopausal symptoms and infertility.
  • Conclusion: It seems that cervical and uterine cancer increase infertility, so awareness of cancer prevention and diagnostics procedure can help reduce the risk of infertility, but need to be more research done at this topic
