  • Introduction: White adipose tissue(WAT)and brown adipose tissue(BAT)and the role of brown fat in increasing metabolism and fat burning in obesity therapy
  • Methods: The main purpose of this article is to investigate role of increasing brown fats by converting WATto BAT and increasing metabolism and obesity treatment. This article is the result of reviewing various articles available in different universities around the world.Harold Sachs of the Health System of Los Angeles and Michael Simonds of the University of Nottingham,UK,maintain BAT helps body heat of infants, but decreases as they age.BAT is more active in cold,so that cold increases fat burning and build up to25 -40%.A article from Harvard University highlights the link between lIPOKININ,BATand exercise. In this study, male and female participant in different age groups were tested. This was proved by testing on mice, they released a hormone called IRISINE,which converts WAT into BAT.It is similar to the reaction of our body during exercise, because our body's IRISINE,is exactly the same as IRISINE in mice.According to findings by Sips and his colleagues that(MIRABEGRON),prescribed for people with bladder hyperactivity, can enhance BAT activity.Recently scientists have found, substances such as leptin(produced by abdominal fat)involved in the relationship between visceral fat and dementia.Various studies on Capsaicin found in spicy red pepper have shown that incorporating it into the diet of laboratory animals has been able to increase the production of brown fat.In a study by Japanese scientists, adding capsaicin to the diet showed that metabolism was increased so capsaicin could be an interesting drug target for obesity.Researchers believe that stem cells arenot responsible for production of BATand only become inactive with age,so they can be reactivated.
  • Results: Research on brown fat is still in its infancy, but these results can be promising in the developing world of weight loss. These discoverys open a new window into the body's metabolic process and weight loss .
  • Conclusion: To accomplish the theory presented in this article,we either need to activate the hidden BATin the body,or find a way for our body to produce more BAT.Scientists hope that by increasing BAT,they will find a potential cure for obesity.
