Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease in which white blood cell activity changes. One of its main causes is Th17 cell deficiency or Dormancy. These changes can be the origin of epigenetics, genetic or cell death. Other causes include the differentiation of TH17 cells. On the other hand, it has been shown that RA is common to women than men and with more harmful effects, Then we decided to compare the analysis of RNA-Seq data for TH17 cells in males and females.
Data analysis showed that adipose storage pathways increased in female TH17 cells compared to males. These data confirm the following: weight gain in women with RA, increased symptoms in obese people, and on the other hand, indicated that weight loss in women was significantly reduced compared to men.
Methods: The RNA-seq data were analysed from eight individuals including four women and four men using GEO2R program. Significant genes were selected, and the number of 1,000 genes were selected for the study. Finally, this number was entered into the string program, and the network was plotted.
Results: It was shown that the pathways related to fat uptake in TH17 cells in women compared to men had a significant increase. These changes show that improvement of the disease along with weight loss, increasing the severity of the disease during weight gain, the dramatic difference in disease improvement or exacerbation of disease in women in addition to direct changes in fat cells can include changes to the TH17 cells as well.
Conclusion: It can be concluded that females might affected more from this troublesome disease due to obesity and related characterizations. This disease in form a loop by upregulation of fat absorbance genes which leads top higher overlighting. It is, therefore, resonance with RA.
