  • Introduction: In a study conducted at the Campus Abourihan Lab University of Tehran, The effect of essential oil of basil and fluoxetine 20 mg on the number of 50 hamster rats after epinephrine injection was evaluated and evaluated. Of these, there were 25 male hamsters and 25 female hamsters. The amount of essential oil and fluoxetine used were 0 (control), 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 ml. The results were as follows. Female hamster did not have much more mobility than the males after injection of epinephrine, and the amount of blinking, stroke, blood pressure in them was higher and the eyes had a rather large scale than normal conditions.
  • Methods: This research was conducted in 1397 at the College of the Abourihan University of Tehran (located in southeastern Tehran). The essential oil was prepared from the basil plant samples with the help of the Clevenger apparatus. How to prepare the essential oil is that the plant sample is poured into the Clevenger with a ratio of 1:10 and distilled water, then set the temperature and the heat should be lit for 2 hours. After 2 hours, essential oil content should be collected from Clevenger and stored separately in the tube. In the next step, fluoxetine 10 is powdered and placed on a shaker of 50 ml and placed in a separate tube. Finally, to facilitate the work, the materials (essential oils and chemical solution) were divided into 2 ml tubes at concentrations of 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 ml. In this experiment, 50 hamsters were used, 10 (5 males and 5 females) were used as control and 40 others were divided into 2 groups. The first group was studied with the help of fluoxetine, their sedation effect. And the second one, which was studied with the help of basil essential oil. Each of these 2 categories was 20 numerical, including 10 males and 10 material. The procedure for performing the test was that each of the 3 groups of mice was kept in a separate compartment. The batch, which was supposed to be pretreated with the Basil herbal remedy, gave them basal evaporation residues from the 5 days prior to the start of the experiment. On the day of the experiment, 2 ml of morphine and epinephrine (mixed) were injected into each of the head and subcutaneously (into the spinal cord). View behavioral behavior for 5 minutes. During this time, characteristics such as pupil size, number of steps, number of blinking were evaluated and evaluated. After 5 minutes of injections of morphine and epinephrine, each of the males in the first batch solution of the chemical drug fluoxetine 10 and to the female's essential oil of the basil plant, and in the second group to the male basil and essential oils of the chemical agent Fluoxetine 10 was injected. Again, the above features were examined and evaluated.
  • Results: Five minutes after the injection of epinephrine, the essential oil of basil plant was injected subcutaneously at different doses. The results showed that with increasing basal essential oil, no significant change was observed in the relaxation of the plant. But it showed far more efficacy than fluoxetine. Because fluoxetine, unlike fluoxetine, caused more relaxation of the animal, and the movements continued slowly, fluoxetine was injected at doses of 0.5, 1, when the hamster slowly calmed down and the movements generally decreased, and the animal became restless, In a dose of 1.5 and 2 milliliters, it caused a seizure and hammering.
  • Conclusion: It should be noted that using 2 ml basil concentrations in the subcutaneous injection to the present, it was observed that 3 hamsters slowed down after infusion of their body movements. They then became unconscious with vomiting and emptying their mouths, and at 6 o'clock to 19 o'clock later, they regained consciousness. But none of the hamsters did not die. In the use of the chemical, fluoxetine is used as a sedative. It was prepared as a solution, and transferred to separate tubes at 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 ml. 10 minutes after injection of morphine and epinephrine, the indicated concentrations were subcutaneously injected into GH2 treatments. The lowest number of steps 1 and a maximum of 62 steps per minute. The number of eyelids varied between 7 and 27 times per minute. Unlike the GH1 group, the group eventually lost 6 hamster lives. And died in less than 2 minutes. One can conclude from the above experiment: The use of essential oils of medicinal herbs such as Basil can relieve stress to some extent.
