  • Introduction: Trichomonas is caused by the protozoa Tricomonas vaginalis, the most common non-viral infection of the disease. Pollution is predominantly transmitted through sexual contact. Infection of the parasite has been reported in all ages and in both genders. Often infection in women is symptomatic, but in men it is rare. Trichomonas vaginalis has serious health consequences for women, these people are prone to cervical cancer, and pelvic inflammatory disease, including infertility. Therefore, it is important for the diagnosis and treatment of this disease.
  • Methods: In this systematic review, after reviewing the Sid information source and the google scholar search engine, and using library searches, the Tricomonas vaginalis and infertility and role system keywords were achieved. The criteria for entry of articles include from 2011 to 2019, the full text of articles was accessible.
  • Results: According to these studies, this parasite can destroy direct target cells without phagocytosis. It also has a cell detoxifying agent that can cause cell detachment and epithelium loss in the target tissue. In its research, it has been shown that this parasite can attach to free sperm cells and stimulates sperms and completely secretes cells. Sperm and a significant reduction in their number. Trichomonas vaginalis prevents the transmission of sperm by producing toxic metabolites, and the manger is an intrauterine infection, resulting in infertility
  • Conclusion: Diagnosis of trichomoniasis is associated with some problems due to specific position in the body as well as technical problems with diagnostic methods. For proper treatment and control (prevention and differentiation of other infectious agents such as fungi and vitamins and prevention of interfering factors), it is necessary to use methods such as direct method, the use of culture media, vitamins and ... and hence the role this parasite has been discovered in infertility. More efforts are needed to diagnose and treat it
