  • Introduction: Introduction:The wound is a kind of injury and, in the simplest form, the separation of the intercellular joint between the skin or the body, which is divided into two types: the cut or tear of the skin.Today, open wounds include various treatments and, in particular, for chronic ulcers caused by diseases such as diabetes, new treatments such as wound dressing materials are used. The main task of these structures is to protect the wound against internal stress. These structures does not change during treatment and create a closed condition around the wound that is adapted to the movements of the wounded member.
  • Methods: Search method:In the context of this overview, 13 articles were used between the years 2010 through the end of 2019 using the keywords of Google and Google scholar search engines.
  • Results: Results:In the wound healing process, the inflammation phase is followed by the collagenization stage and this requires migration of fibroblasts. The herbs such as starch and aloevera stimulate the cell migration process and increase the epithelization. Aloeverareduces thromboxane A2, B2 and a type of prostaglandin that causes vasoconstriction and platelet aggregation, as well as increases skin perfusion. The salicylic acid in Aloevera acts as anti-inflammatory agentand has antibacterial properties.
  • Conclusion: Conclusion: A lot of materials have been introduced to design and manufacture wound dressing structures, each of them has certain advantages and disadvantages. Among these, substances with properties such as antibacterial, oxygen permeability and angiogenesis around the tissue are attractive in tissue regeneration. Aloe Vera has a medicinal property called a topical drug for a variety of diseases and skin problems. Aloe Vera enhances the function of fibroblasts, enhances the collagen and elastin composition of the skin to prevent wrinkling and increase skin rejuvenation. One of the most important features of Aloe Vera is that after the treatment, the area covers the wound and does not leave any additional texture on the skin.
