  • Introduction: Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) is a developmental disorder that causes any disability in the field of social and communication skills of individuals. Among the therapeutic approaches in children with this disorder, is the use of the Son-Rise program. Aims: Since few studies have been conducted on the effect of the Son-Rise program among children with autism, the team is researching to investigate the effect of the program as a strategy to improve the relationships of children with ailments. Take autism. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the Son-Rise program on improving the social interactions of children with autism.
  • Methods: This study is a clinical trial. The target population was 40 children with autism disorder selected by available sampling method. Children were divided into two groups: Son-Rise intervention group and control group (under usual rehabilitation) (in each child group). The second edition of Gilliam Autism Rating Scale (GARS-2) and Vineland Social Development Scale were used as a pre-test and GARS-2 as a reassessment. Finally, the data were analyzed using Independent t and Paired t tests.
  • Results: The results of this study showed that Son-Rise program improved the social communication of children with autism (p = 0.005).
