  • Introduction: Cardiac arrest is the most important cause of sudden death in society. Applying new and effective approaches to cardiopulmonary resuscitation training, while enhancing students' learning, improves their cardiopulmonary resuscitation performance. The present study was conducted with the aim of the assessment of the Advanced Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Using Role Playing and Conceptual Mapping, and Evaluation by Clinical Supervisor on the Nursing students Performance: Intervention Mapping Program.
  • Methods: This study was quasi-experimental. This was done in 2019 in nursing students of Saveh University of Medical Sciences. The research population consisted of 60 nursing students who were randomly divided into two groups. The data were collected by a cardiopulmonary resuscitation function questionnaire. The intervention was planned and implemented based on the interventional mapping steps. It was used for training in one group of concept maps and in another group of role playing. Data were analyzed by SPSS software, and using descriptive and inferential statistics tests (ANOVA).
  • Results: Results showed that there was a significant difference between the scores of students' performance in both groups at pre-intervention, post-intervention and follow-up periods (p = 0.0001). There was a significant difference between the two groups at different times in students' performance scores (p = 0.0001). Mean of Students' performance was different between the two groups (p = 0.043).
  • Conclusion: Use new teaching methods, such as concept mapping and applying methods such as role playing by stimulating the senses and enhancing learning, they increase the performance of nursing students.
