Abstract

Introduction

Tissue regeneration idea has been formed by stem cells identifying and tissue engineering techniques. stem cells can be differentiated to specialized cells and have been shown promising results of tissue engineering when implanted into designed cultures and scaffolds. the tooth limited ability of repair and postnatal roots development, led researchers to discover dental stem cells. some experiments, such as jaws erosion as the result of direct forces of implants, shelf life deduction of teeth after pulpotomy and periodontium diseases, suggested tooth components reconstruction and bio-implants as new approaches.

Methods

Embryonic dental follicle tissue was cultured onto the bio-hybrid implant, comprised of whole periodontal tissue formation surrounding the dental implant tissue.

Results

The results demonstrate the potential of regenerating periodontal tissue using compound cell sheets around the dental implant without sacrificing the embryo.

Conclusion

This article is a review on regenerative endodontic procedures (reps) and regeneration of different parts of tooth, in vitro and in vivo. microenvironment, 3d cultures and bio-implants are explained in this review.
