Abstract

Introduction

Colorectal cancer (crc) is the third common type of cancer, and is considered as the main cause of cancer deaths in both men and women around the world. micrornas are small class of non-coding regulatory rnas that provide strong support for crcs. micrornas regulate the targeting of many cellular pathways including: cell proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation by inhibiting messenger rnas. considering the high prevalence and high mortality rate of this disease and the importance of the functional network of p53, it is important to examine the effecting factors on the p53 functional network. the mir-605 plays an important role on the p53 functional network by effecting the expression of mdm2. according to recent studies, the expression of mir-605 has been altered in cancer relative to normal conditions although this needs to examine more samples. considering that so far no study on the expression of mir-605 in colorectal cancer tissue samples have been examined, microrna expression in tissue samples from patients with colorectal cancer were selected .in this study, changes in the expression of mir-605 in tissue samples of people with colorectal cancer are investigated

Methods

In this study, tumor and normal samples (as control group) of colorectal tissue of 10 subjects with colorectal cancer were investigated. rna was isolated from normal and tumor tissues and the comparison of mir-605 expression was performed by quantitative analysis of real-time pcr.

Results

The results show that the expression of mir-605 in tumor samples is reduced compared to the control group.

Conclusion

The results show that the expression of mir-605 in tumor samples is reduced compared to the control group.
