Abstract

Introduction

There is a strong body of circumstantial evidence which implicates genetics in the etiology and pathology of and venous ulcer disease. the aim of this review is to consider the ways in which new genetic technologies may be applied to advancing our understanding of the cause and progression of these venous diseases.

Methods

In this study, the expression data of normal and patient people with varicose veins were used to study varicose veins gene network. the network is a weighted gene expression for grouping genes and finding gene groups that have a significant correlation with the occurrence time of disease.

Results

In the network survey, a high-correlation gene group with exacerbation of the disease has been identified that these genes are involved in the pathways for ion transfer, as well as genes such as pcm1 in the vascular reactivity.

Conclusion

In the present study, details of the varicose-veins aggravating factors were investigated. these details may provide new opportunities for the development of alternative therapies.
